US 41 from Green Bridge to Riverside Drive

The SR 45 (US 41) from Green Bridge to Riverside Drive scenic enhancement project proposed reconstructing existing parking lots along the east and west sides of US 41 and constructing a new 12′ shared use path in Manatee County. The newly reconstructed parking lots included pervious brick paver parking stalls, brick paver shared-use path, decorative signing, decorative lighting, landscaping, and irrigation.

This project required close coordination with the City of Palmetto to ensure that all elements matched other scenic enhancements projects that had been completed throughout the City. The pervious paver parking stalls were designed and permitted as treatment systems, which allowed the City to obtain cooperative funding from SWFWMD. Extensive grading details were required in the construction plans to ensure that the shared use path and parking areas conformed to ADA standards. PGA successfully delivered this project on schedule and within the project budget.
