What You’ll Do
- Proficient in roadway construction plans production
- Understand the concepts of geometry design
- Understand the development of pay item quantities and calculations
- Understand the process for development of a project cost estimate
- Effectively research projects and assist with marketing efforts from a roadway point-of-view
- Gain knowledge in all design standards, manuals, and criteria
- Requires minimal technical supervision of tasks by senior staff
- Complete tasks and projects within expectations of Project Manager, Supervisor or Task Lead
What You’ll Need
- High School diploma
- Vocational Training course completion or equivalent college level courses is preferred
- 5-10 years of related experience
- Other experience or training may be considered
What You’ll Bring
- Knowledge and skill in MicroStation or AutoCAD, including civil platforms (such as OpenRoads Designer, Civil3D, etc.)
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must be able to effectively prioritize
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards in all work efforts
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on deadline-driven activities
- Intermediate knowledge and skill in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other Office Products
